Inspired by pilot gig racing on the Isles of Scilly, this luxury yarn is hand dyed in the yellow hues, of 'Golden Eagle' a traditional, heritage pliot gig. The 'Golden Eagel' was built in 1870 by Peters of Mawes. It is built from salvage money reieved from the wreck of the 'Award' which went ashore on Gweal Island. The 'Golden Eagle' took part in many rescues but now is raced each week by St Mary's crews
