Drawing on her Cornish heritage, Julia has created a scarf pattern which combines traditional Gansey patterns with her own designs inspired by the modern revival of Cornish Pilot Gig racing. 
 
The pattern includes a menu of stitch patterns that can be worked in any combination to create a scarf as individual as a traditional Gansey
 
Difficulty: Simple - knowledge of knits and Purls
 
Yarn:  fingering/4 ply;  1 x 100gms/400m short scarf
                                              2 x 100gms/400m long scarf
 
Tension: not critical. Use a 3.5mm circular needle
