Elms Strakes is the colour of the elm planking which gigs are made from, and Caught a Crab is the colour of their traditional canvas sails. Together their tones should create a gentle contrast.
 
Ebb is a long rectangular scarf, and Flo is an asymmetrical  shawlette with a gentle curve
 
Ebb and Flo are worked in Garter Stitch using 2 yarns, alternating every 2 rows; but the finished fabric is not striped, it is reversable, each side showcasing one yarn.
It is a simple, rhythmic, the colours ebb and flo across the needle as regularly as a tide  - making it a very relaxing knit.
